About Retail

Atelier LÂME architecture was created in 2013 by Angel Menendez (ETSAM in Madrid) and Alexandre Lahyani (ENSAPLV in Paris).

They worked together at studioMilou architecture, where they developed important cultural projects such as the Carreau du Temple in Paris or the Comédie in Saint Etienne.

They stand out as winners of the Europan 13 award, on the Bondy site.

The agency works on projects of various scales, from the restructuring of the reception and bar of the Carreau du Temple in Paris (75) to the rehabilitation and extension of the Malraux cultural center in Verrières-le-Buisson (91), the creation of a cinema and multi-purpose rooms in Pornichet (44) and the construction of an auditorium and a youth center in Puilboreau (17). More recently, Atelier LÂME won the competition for the renovation of the market hall and the redevelopment of the town center square in Chauny (02) and for the renovation and extension of the Jean Racine cultural center in Saint-Rémy-Lès-Chevreuse (78).

Part of the agency’s activity is dedicated to retail and the creation of universes in the fashion and design sectors.

Atelier LÂME is the winner of the prestigious 40under40 2021 prize rewarding the most promising young architects of their generation.
